About Us
We would like to introduce you to the Quad City Back the Blue Flight, a newly formed local non-profit organization dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who serve and have served as law enforcement officers in our Quad Cities community. Our mission is to provide active and retired officers from the 19 police agencies across Scott and Rock Island Counties with the profound experience of an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to visit the National Law Enforcement Memorial Wall and Museum.
Our Mission
Our police officers play a vital role in ensuring our safety and well-being. They face daily dangers and challenges, and the National Law Enforcement Memorial serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made. The Quad City Back the Blue Flight aims to provide a meaningful opportunity for these officers to reflect on their service and connect with the broader history of law enforcement.
Our inaugural flight, planned for Spring 2026, will transport a group of working and retired officers, along with a chosen family member of a local officer who died in the line of duty. This deeply impactful trip will include visits to the Memorial Wall, the National Law Enforcement Museum, and a special catered lunch with dignitaries. We are even partnering with the experienced Quad Cities Veterans Honor Flight, with three of our board members participating as guardians on their May 2025 flight to gain invaluable firsthand knowledge.
To bring this important initiative to fruition, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community. We are currently seeking seed funding to establish our pilot program and make these initial Honor Flights a reality. Your support, a financial contribution, a investment of $10, $20 or even $50 will directly impact the lives of our local law enforcement heroes and demonstrate our community's deep appreciation for their service. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and your donations are tax deductible.
Donations are generally non-refundable, but exceptions may be made in cases of errors or extenuating circumstances.
